Based on fictional musical Bombshell in NBC's Broadway-centred musical-drama "SMASH," these initial storyboards illustrate some key points from my own imagining of a musical stage adaptation of Marilyn Monroe's life. 

Beginning with the songs and story points established in the TV show, I expanded on the story with considerable research into Marilyn Monroe's life, creating my own story treatment and concept. 

Based in a derelict deco movie palace, a hot pink perspex box creates a screen-like pedestal for Marilyn to be lauded and gawked at, later becoming a vantage point for the masses to voyeuristically pry on her most venerable moments.
